Baseball Recap: Fillmore Comes Up Short

After soaring to 23 runs the game before, Fillmore was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines by a score of 3-1. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Fillmore saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Boon, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Boon is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Fillmore's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Bolivar-Richburg, their record now sits at an identical 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fillmore will challenge Pavilion at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bolivar-Richburg, they will face off against Oswayo Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolverines are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
