Sunset owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the Westview Wildcats by a score of 5-0. The win continues a trend for the Apollos in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won four in a row.

Not much got past Sydney Arnold, who gave up just five hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Westview off the board. Arnold has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddy Larson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Emily Belisle, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Sunset's victory bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Westview, they dropped their record down to 7-18 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sunset will face off against rival Beaverton at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Meanwhile, Westview is set to challenge their familiar foe Southridge at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
