Hackett Catholic Prep's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Comstock Colts as they made off with  a  17-0 win. Fans of the Fighting Irish have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 Ellie Kling was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Kling was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with six  RBI, two  triples,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  Ally Oldman was a standout: she scored three  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Avery Doerr, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Hackett Catholic Prep's record now sits at 3-0.
They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Comstock: the pair will be back at it again later today.
