Recap: Plainview Pirates vs. Wynot Blue Devils
After a string of seven wins, the Plainview Pirates's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 51-41 to Wynot. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Plainview in their matchups with Wynot: they've now lost three in a row.
Plainview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Teya Boyer, who scored 14 points. Abbie Kromarek was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Wynot, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Plainview won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against O'Neill at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Plainview is coming into the matchup with five straight losses at home, meaning O'Neill will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. As for Wynot, they will head out on the road to take on Wayne on Thursday. Wynot is facing Wayne at the right time seeing as Wayne is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
