Soccer Recap: Florida Christian Takes Down Westminster Christian in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Florida Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Westminster Christian Warriors out 1-0. Cristian Garcia had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Patriots.

The win (which was Florida Christian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those four games. As for Westminster Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.

Looking ahead, Florida Christian will challenge Scheck Hillel Community School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Scheck Hillel Community School will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Florida Christian surely won't give up without a fight. Westminster Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
