Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Southwest Florida Christian

Southwest Florida Christian had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bonita Springs Bullsharks. That's more bragging rights for the King's, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

One reason for the win was Southwest Florida Christian's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-11, 25-7.

Journey Cook paced Southwest Florida Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cook got some help from Joy Youngblood and her 20 assists. Cook also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gigi Noah, racking up six apiece.

Southwest Florida Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bonita Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Southwest Florida Christian and Neumann will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bonita Springs, they will venture away from home to take on Canterbury at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
