Football Recap: J.L. Mann Takes a Loss

J.L. Mann was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 31-14 fall against the Daniel Lions. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

A big part of Daniel's win came down to the chemistry between Jace Grass and his top target Trey Wimbley. Grass threw for 319 yards and four TDs while completing 75% of his passes while Wimbley picked up 172 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 172 receiving yards gave Wimbley a new career-high.

J.L. Mann's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Daniel, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

J.L. Mann and Daniel will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Patriots see the field they'll take on Easley at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Daniel, their break will end when they face Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th.
