Basketball Game Preview: Louisa County Lions vs. Albemarle Patriots

Louisa County and Albemarle are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Louisa County Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Albemarle Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Albemarle took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Louisa County, who comes in off a win.

Louisa County will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 20 points on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Fluvanna County on Friday. Louisa County snuck past Fluvanna County with a 58-52 victory.

Meanwhile, Albemarle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Western Albemarle.

Louisa County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Albemarle, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Louisa County came up short against Albemarle when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 54-47. Can Louisa County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
