Recap: Scripps Ranch vs. Hoover
After a 6-3 finish the last time they played, the Scripps Ranch Falcons and the Hoover Cardinals decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Scripps Ranch never let Hoover onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Wednesday. Scripps Ranch's winning goal came courtesy of Chris Moynihan.
Scripps Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-8. As for Hoover, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11-2.
Scripps Ranch will challenge Crawford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Scripps Ranch is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in California (they are ranked 268th, while Crawford is ranked 774th). As for Hoover, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against San Diego at 7:00 p.m. San Diegopresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hoover in California (San Diego is ranked 152nd, while Hoover is ranked 498th).
