Baseball Recap: Penns Manor Comets vs. Kiski School Cougars

Penns Manor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kiski School Cougars.

Carter Smith was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off three hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a triple, a run, and an RBI.

On Kiski School's side, the team relied heavily on Brandon Abreu, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Penns Manor's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Kiski School, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Penns Manor will be playing at home against Marion Center at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
