Preview: Tocoi Creek Toros vs. Creekside Knights
The Tocoi Creek Toros will be playing in front of their home fans against the Creekside Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Tocoi Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday.
Last Friday, Tocoi Creek beat Bartram Trail 49-42. Given Tocoi Creek's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Bartram Trail is ranked 333rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Tocoi Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audrey Beyer out in front who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Valcin, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Creekside suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 57-30 loss at the hands of Beachside. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Creekside has scored all season.
Tocoi Creek is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Creekside, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
