Basketball Recap: Mercer County Takes a Loss

Mercer County's tournament run continued when they took on Eureka on Saturday. The Mercer County Golden Eagles came up short against the Eureka Hornets, falling 60-39. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mercer County now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Eureka, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Mercer County will square off against Erie-Prophetstown at 3:00 p.m. on January 4th. As for Eureka, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-55 loss against Illini West on the 28th.
