Basketball Recap: Mifflin Find Success

Mifflin won the last time they faced Briggs, and Myles Jarrett did his part to make sure it happened again. The Mifflin Punchers were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over the Briggs Bruins on Tuesday thanks to Jarrett, who went 7-for-12 en route to 19 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.

Adimalik Omar was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 14 points along with six boards and three steals. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high.

Mifflin's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Briggs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

Mifflin has already played their next contest, a 71-64 victory against Marion-Franklin on the 13th. Briggs will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Big Walnut at 7:00 p.m. on February 24th.
