Baseball Recap: Wade Hampton Comes Up Short

Wade Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Boiling Springs Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat on Wednesday.

Wade Hampton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonas Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Wade Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Boiling Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-9 record this season.

Wade Hampton will head out to face off against James F. Byrnes at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boiling Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
