Baseball Recap: Space Coast Takes a Loss

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockledge Raiders. The Vipers were not able to make up for their loss to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Space Coast saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Leos, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Rockledge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Space Coast will take on Titusville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockledge, they will square off against Harmony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rockledge 3.8, Harmony 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
