Bartlett has gone 8-2 against Larkin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Royals at 4:30 p.m. Bartlett has given up an average of 12 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Bartlett's offense. They came up short against Palatine on Saturday, falling 11-0. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Larkin waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Hawks. Considering the Royals have won three contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mackenzie Wemken made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Liliana Heinrich was incredible, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Isabella Ayala was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Larkin now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bartlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Bartlett was able to grind out a solid win over Larkin in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 9-5. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Royals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
