Baseball Recap: Parsons Christian Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against Cedar Creek Christian

There's no place like home for Parsons Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cedar Creek Christian Saints on Friday as the Parsons Christian Academy Lions made off with a 14-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Justin Collazo, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominic Lacombe, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Parsons Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek Christian only posted an OBP of .480.

Parsons Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cedar Creek Christian, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsons Christian Academy will head out to take on Eagle's View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they are taking a road trip to face off against Covenant School of Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Covenant School of Jacksonville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.3 runs per game this season.
