Buena Vista picks up 12th straight win at home

In what's become a running theme this season, the Buena Vista Longhorns gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 79-42 victory over Rankin at home. The win was familiar territory for Buena Vista who now have seven in a row.

Buena Vista found their leader in underclassman Jackie Jurado, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jurado has scored all season. Caden Valdez was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Buena Vista's victory was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.17 points. As for Rankin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buena Vista will square off against Marathon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marathon has insisted on making their lastsix contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-6 during that stretch of close contests. As for Rankin, they will head out on the road to challenge Gordon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Gordon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
