Recap: Sandalwood Saints vs. Mandarin Mustangs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sandalwood Saints can now relate to. Their tough 70-46 loss to the Mustangs on Tuesday might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sandalwood in their matchups with Mandarin: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Sandalwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremy Suero. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.

Sandalwood has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Mandarin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-7.

Sandalwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mandarin, they will head out on the road to challenge Tocoi Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tocoi Creek is coming into the matchup with four straight wins at home, meaning Mandarin will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
