Recap: Woodland Bobcats vs. Isabella Mustangs
The Woodland Bobcats lost against the Isabella Mustangs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Woodland had to suffer through a rough 55-14 loss at the hands of Isabella. Woodland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.
It was another big night for Elijah Kendrick, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Kendrick was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre'von Lee, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Isabella, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Woodland will be playing in front of their home fans against Wadley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wadley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Isabella, they will head out on the road to face off against Keith at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keith is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
