Kirbyville waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the East Chambers Buccaneers a 12-0 shutout. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buccaneers, too.

Sydney Wheeler was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Maddie Simmos was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Kirbyville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Chambers only posted an OBP of .059.

Kirbyville pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 13.5 hits in those games compared to only 4.61 in the others. As for East Chambers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8-1 record this season.
