Softball Recap: Bernstein Picks Up Fourth Straight Win at Home

Bernstein won the last time they faced Belmont and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dragons put the hurt on the Sentinels with a sharp 23-2 win. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on KAYLEE HENRIQUEZ, who fired off two home runs while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of EMILY RIVERA, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and one double.

Bernstein always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Bernstein's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Belmont, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Bernstein does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belmont, they will host Mendez at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jaguars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Sentinels surely won't give up without a fight.
