On the final play of the final game of the season Saturday night, national No. 2
North Shore (Houston) connected on a Hail Mary as time expired to beat No. 3
Duncanville in the Texas Class 6A Division I state championship game.
The Mustangs emerged with a dramatic 41-36 win, finishing with a perfect 16-0 record. MaxPreps rewarded North Shore with the final No. 1 ranking, becoming the third Texas school in five years to be crowned national champions.
