Wirt County hasn't had much luck against Wahama recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. Wirt County will head out on the road to  square off against  Wahama  at 5:30  p.m. Wirt County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12  runs per game  this season.
On Tuesday, Wirt County beat Webster County 9-5.
 Peyton Dye tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over six innings pitched.
 At the plate,  J Starcher was a standout: he scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kolton Toler, who  went 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Wahama's offense. They took  a  3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gilmer County on Tuesday. The White Falcons haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
 Wahama's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wirt County, their record is now 3-1.
 Wirt County might still be hurting after the  9-1 loss they got from Wahama  in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024. Can Wirt County avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
