Volleyball Recap: Rancho Verde Beats Liberty for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Rancho Verde waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Liberty Bison. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bison, too.

Rancho Verde didn't let Liberty take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ashtyn Collier, who had five digs and one block. What's more, Collier racked up 33 assists, the most he's had over his last 15 contests. Damian Cabrera was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Rancho Verde's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Rancho Verde didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Vista del Lago on the 13th. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Moreno Valley on the 13th.
