Baseball Recap: Kellis Takes a Loss

Kellis had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it six. They came up short against the Centennial Coyotes, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 on Tuesday.

As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The result was nothing new for Centennial, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Centennial's part, JT Price was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Price has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of David Daniels, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kellis will head out to face off against McClintock at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Centennial, they will venture away from home to challenge Youngker at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Roughriders will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Coyotes surely won't give up without a fight.
