Volleyball Recap: Kennedy Cougars vs. Folsom Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kennedy can now relate to. They came up short against the Folsom Bulldogs on Wednesday, falling 3-0. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.
Josh Vang paced Kennedy's offense, picking up five kills. Vang got some help from Troy Vue and his nine assists.
Folsom was led to victory by Cisco Guevara and Neelagreev Chintaluri. Guevara had 11 assists and four digs, while Chintaluri had 11 assists. That's the most assists Guevara has posted since back in February. Maxwell Norberg also deserves some recognition as he served his first ace of the season.
Kennedy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for Folsom, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 28-9.
Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Folsom, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Sheldon on the 2nd.
