Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Valley Stream Central walked away with it. They managed a 12-6 victory over the Mepham Pirates on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-0 back in March.

Valley Stream Central pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.3 points on average over those games. As for Mepham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
