High school basketball: Where things stand with the 2020-21 season in all 50 states

States like Alabama and Mississippi are a month into the season while Oregon plans to begin in May.

When it comes to the 2020-21 high school basketball season, plenty of unknowns remain. Over half of the country has tipped off already with 30 states scheduled to begin before the calendar turns to 2021.

Fourteen other states and the District of Columbia plan to get the ball rolling sometime next year while six states have yet to announce an official start date. The latest scheduled start date is May 17 in Oregon. All other states will tip off by March.
