Volleyball Recap: Discovery Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Discovery lost against Haines City on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against the Hornets, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-13.

Haines City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Samantha Valentin, who had 11 kills and five aces. The dominant performance also gave Valentin a new career-high in assists (11). Another player making a difference was Arielle Moore, who had five digs and three aces.

Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Haines City, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Discovery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Lakeland Christian on the 29th. As for Haines City, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Sebring on the 25th.
