Basketball Recap: Saline Comes Up Short

Saline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since January 22, 2024.

Saline's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-12.

Saline will square off against Georgetown at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Georgetown's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Jonesboro-Hodge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Union Parish at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
