Football Game Preview: Geneva Eagles vs. John Paul II Centurions + How To Watch

The Geneva Eagles will challenge the John Paul II Centurions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Geneva has given up an average of 25.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Geneva was able to grind out a solid win over TMI-Episcopal, taking the game 45-38. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Caleb Quitadamo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 272 yards and four TDs. Shae McNew was Quitadamo's top target, picking up zero receiving yards.

Geneva was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Geneva didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Reid Aderholt led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, John Paul II was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 48-7 defeat at the hands of New Braunfels Christian Academy. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

John Paul II's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Geneva, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Everything came up roses for Geneva against John Paul II when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Centurions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
