East Union dropped down to 21-9 on Tuesday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Roseville Tigers, falling 8-0. The shutout was out of character for the Lancers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

As for Roseville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.

For Roseville's part, the result came thanks to Tyler Ritter's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks. Ritter has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Benjamin Jordan, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Justin Fischer, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

While East Union had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
