Volleyball Recap: Peoria Comes Up Short

Peoria lost against Poston Butte last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Milana Thiel had an outrageously good game for Poston Butte as she had 23 digs and five assists. Parker Gruen also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Peoria's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Poston Butte, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peoria will face off against Estrella Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Poston Butte, they will square off against ALA - Queen Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each match than the last.
