Basketball Recap: West Union Comes Up Short

West Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whiteoak Wildcats. The Dragons lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-38 score last time.

West Union's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Whiteoak, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-8.

West Union will challenge Eastern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Whiteoak, they will be playing at home against Fayetteville-Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Whiteoak: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Fayetteville-Perry has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
