Football Recap: Shrine Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Shrine Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 28-0 takedown of Bishop Foley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights lost 28-7 to Everest Collegiate on Friday. The Knights have struggled against Everest Collegiate recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Jack Tisko threw for 170 yards on 11 of 19 attempts. Owen Wisniewski was his top target, picking up 100 receiving yards. On the ground, Jaycee Foster rushed for 61 yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Everest Collegiate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dominic Walker, who rushed for 93 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Gaglio, who rushed for 100 yards and one TD.

Shrine Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Everest Collegiate, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Shrine Catholic will welcome Communication Media Arts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Everest Collegiate, they will head out to take on Nouvel Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Everest Collegiate's defense better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 34 points per game this season.
