Batesville is a perfect 10-0 against South Dearborn since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

After dropping their season opener at home, South Dearborn is headed out to face a Bulldogs team ready to give their home crowd a win. Batesville took a blow against New Palestine on Saturday, falling 68-33. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Batesville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Maggie Jelinek posted eight points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Molly Gesell, who had seven points and five boards.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when South Dearborn and Switzerland County meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Knights were dealt a 74-28 loss at the hands of the Pacers.

Everything came up roses for Batesville against South Dearborn in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 53-12 victory. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
