Central extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They lost 17-1 to the Garber Dukes. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

As for Garber, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The result was nothing new for the Dukes, who have now won five games by 14 runs or more so far this season.

For Garber's part, Delenya Charbonneau looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, Charbonneau posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2025.

On the hitting side, Garber let Sadie Lapan and Ella Kokaly run wild. Lapan went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Kokaly went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Kokaly continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Paige Mendyk, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

While Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
