Covenant Christian entered their tilt with Allendale on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged out the Falcons 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since April 19th.

Colin Corson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Andrew Pastoor, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was J.D. Schimmel, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Covenant Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Covenant Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13.
