Basketball Recap: Rowan Woodrich Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Cairo

Peach County won the last time they faced Cairo and things went their way on Friday too. The Peach County Trojans took down the Cairo Syrupmakers 60-41.

Peach County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rowan Woodrich, who posted seven points along with 12 rebounds and eight blocks. The dominant performance also gave Woodrich a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (50%). Another player making a difference was Kevan Gray, who went 6 for 14 to rack up 18 points.

Peach County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season. As for Cairo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Peach County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-60 win against Westover on the 8th. As for Cairo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-44 loss against Bainbridge on the 8th.
