Basketball Game Preview: Altoona-Midway Jets vs. Southern Coffey County Titans

The Altoona-Midway Jets will face off against the Southern Coffey County Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Altoona-Midway is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.

On Friday, Altoona-Midway needed a bit of extra time to put away Yates Center. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 48-40.

William Stackhouse was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 27 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kieran Foster, who posted 17 points.

Altoona-Midway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Southern Coffey County was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Oswego and fell 68-24. One positive for the Titans, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Altoona-Midway back to even at 3-3. As for Southern Coffey County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Altoona-Midway against Southern Coffey County in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 85-19 victory.
