It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moreau Catholic can now relate to. They came up short against the Lincoln Trojans on Thursday, falling 69-45. The Mariners' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jagger Merolla, who shot 80% from the field to rack up 19 points and six rebounds. The last time Merolla's field goal percentage was this high was back in February of 2024. Anthony Moore was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six boards and five assists.

Moreau Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 26-6. As for Lincoln, they pushed their record up to 29-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Moreau Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln, they will square off against St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 26 matchups -- so hopefully St. Ignatius College Preparatory likes a good challenge.
