Baseball Recap: Paramount Takes a Loss

Paramount and St. Monica squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Paramount had to settle for second. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mariners.

Diego Padilla was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Flores, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Paramount dropped their record down to 17-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for St. Monica, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Paramount nor St. Monica have any future games scheduled.
