Basketball Recap: Tamarac Beats Catskill for Their Third Straight Victory

Tamarac had won two straight games and Sam Kuiken did his part to make it three on Tuesday. Everything went the Tamarac Bengals' way against the Catskill Cats as the Tamarac Bengals made off with a 58-37 win thanks in part to Kuiken, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rebounds.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kamerin Edmonds, who posted ten points. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Tamarac has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Catskill, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tamarac will square off against Berlin/New Lebanon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Catskill has already played their next contest (against Coxsackie-Athens), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
