Football Recap: Flanagan Comes Up Short

Flanagan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Deerfield Beach Bucks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while the Bucks are ranked 99th).

Flanagan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Deerfield Beach, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Flanagan will challenge Everglades at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Gators' defense has only allowed 10.8 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Deerfield Beach, they will host Spanish River at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bucks 7, the Sharks 6.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
