Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the Salisbury Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Tuesday.

Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dale Clodfelter, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Salisbury, they pushed their record up to 5-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lexington will take on rival North Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Salisbury is set to challenge their familiar foe Thomasville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
