Watertown scored the most points they've had this season on Saturday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 49-24 to the Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic Yellowjackets. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-3.

Cole Linnen had an outrageously good game for Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic as he rushed for 146 yards and one score on only nine carries. Those 146 rushing yards gave Linnen a new career-high. Liam Baxter was in the mix too, providing Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic with two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for Watertown and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Gilbert/Northwestern/Housatonic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
