Baseball Game Preview: Seattle Academy Cardinals vs. Franklin Quakers

The Seattle Academy Cardinals will venture away from home to take on the Franklin Quakers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Seattle Academy after they put the first runs on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against West Seattle, falling 14-4. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Seattle Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was William Hendry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Hendry is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Zach Bennett also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Chief Sealth, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Seattle Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
