The Goshen Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Carlisle Indians at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Goshen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Goshen couldn't beat Clinton-Massie on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-4. It was the first time this season that the Warriors let down their fans at home.

Makayla Campbell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Josie Purdy made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Macee Stelle was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Carlisle had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past Valley View 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted since April 27, 2024.

Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Goshen, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 7-4.
