Chatham Charter dropped their record down to 13-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clover Garden School Grizzlies. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Clover Garden School, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games.

For Clover Garden School's part, Brayden DeAlto made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. DeAlto has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Clover Garden School: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three hits, but 6-11 otherwise.

In other batting news, Gabe Kistler was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.
